FOR HER LIQUID EXTRACT COMBINATION

At Cheryl’s Herbs, our liquid extract combination products each contain multiple herbs and are sold in one-ounce, two-ounce, and four-ounce dropper bottles.  These products are for internal use.

Cheryl’s Herbs’ For Her Liquid Extract Combination is a product designed for women who seek assistance with menstrual or menopausal issues.  It lends gentle support to the reproductive system by helping to bring hormones into balance.  It contains nine herbs:

Dong Quai Root - supports a woman’s cycle by offering assistance with menstrual irregularities such as too little or too much flow and painful menstruation.  The estrogenic substances in this herb may have a moderating effect on estrogen levels, meaning they enhance the effects of estrogen when levels of it are low and compete when levels of it are too high.  Please avoid during pregnancy.

Black Cohosh Root - has been found to bring about healthy menstruation.  There are estrogenic substances in it but the concentration is not great enough to support the claims that Black Cohosh is considerably estrogenic.  Please avoid when pregnant or nursing and limit use to 6 months.

*Licorice Root - is useful for estrogen deficiency conditions such as absence or suppression of menstruation, PMS, or menopause.  Licorice Root also enhances any other herb it is combined with.  It is important to note, however, that Licorice Root should be avoided during pregnancy, nursing, diabetes, hypertension, liver disorders, severe kidney insufficiency, and hypokalemia.  Not for prolonged use (4 - 6 weeks) or in high doses except under supervision by a qualified health practitioner.  It may potentiate potassium depletion of thiazide diuretics and stimulant laxatives, as well as the action of cardiac glycosides and cortisol.  May cause (reversible) potassium depletion and sodium retention, resulting in such symptoms as hypertension, edema, headache, and vertigo when consumed in therapeutic dosages over a prolonged period. (*Licorice root is 13% of this product).  Cheryl’s Herbs has created a For Her Liquid Extract Combination without Licorice Root.

Raspberry Leaf - supports bringing reproductive hormones back into balance by tempering the effects of excessive hormone production.

Saw Palmetto Berry - is useful for irregular menstruation and loss of libido.

Partridgeberry (Squaw Vine Herb) - is an old Native American Indian female remedy.  It is useful in menstrual irregularity, swelling, pain, and breast soreness.

Sarsaparilla Root - can be used when there are sex hormone imbalances in puberty and menopause, menstruation and pregnancy.  Some authorities warn it leads to gastric irritation and temporary kidney impairment and advise of potential drug interactions with hypnotics, digitalis glycosides, and bismuth.

Blessed Thistle Herb - assists with puberty in young girls, menstrual cramps, and menopause.  Avoid during pregnancy, avoid high doses that may irritate the stomach and cause vomiting.  Allergic reactions are possible.

Damiana Leaf - is applicable when one is depressed and suffering loss of libido.  It may be an aromatase inhibitor which suggests it could help balance estrogen levels.

Overall, this product, as with any other of our liquid extract combinations, is a synergy offering more to us than any one of the individual herbs in it can offer, thereby assisting women with reproductive hormone imbalances, whether such imbalances occur during puberty, throughout active cycling, or during menopause.  With a gentle hand, these female-supportive herbs help guide us through our years of reproductive power - and beyond.
