We are pleased to announce that Cheryl's Herbs sponsors a 40-hour aromatherapy certification course.

Live classes will be every Sunday starting, October 7, for 5 Sundays in a row.

Last class will be on November 4. CEUs are available for massage therapists.

The class, Aroma 101: Foundations is offered by The East-West School for Herbal and Aromatic Studies (formerly Northwest College) and will be taught by Cheryl Hoard.

Over the Summer we put up three new articles from our resident Chinese herb specialist Laurel Redmon, who makes our wonderful Red Sage Classical Chinese Herb Formulas and can’t help it if she is our daughter. We can't help it if we think they make fascinating and informative additions to our website!

We have placed all the cherylsherbs.com videos in one place. There are now 11. The short videos mostly feature Cheryl speaking on a variety of topics and even some of Cheryl & Jeff playing for the Olympic Torch Ceremony in St. Louis with members of the St. Louis Brass section.

Miscellany

We have moved the Cheryl’s Herbs Site Map, which is an outline of every page on our site. It is now accessible from our front page (about 2 frames down). We have moved the Essential Oil Profiles from the Articles page in anticipation of expanding our library of oil profiles. They now have their own home and their own navigation button on the upper left of every page. Even THIS one!

This Wednesday evening, September 19, Jeff & Cheryl and their E85-powered auto will appear at the 3rd Annual Green Car Show at Schlafly Bottleworks, 7260 Southwest Ave. in Maplewood from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Come on by and we’ll tell you all about it! A study, reported last week in the Archives of Internal Medicine, states that in 2005 in the US there were 15,107 deaths attributable to adverse reactions to legally prescribed drugs. We intend to write more about this when we get over the shock!

New: Sign-up for a 20 minute session with Cheryl Hoard or Amanda Weger and receive a free aromatherapy blend made just for you. From a large selection of essential oils a few will be chosen and mixed in a 15 ml bottle with Aloe Vera Gel. Aloe is a versatile carrier for essential oils and is pleasant to apply as body lotion, face lotion, hand or foot lotion or just a healing perfume. During a brief conversation with you about which kind of blend would be helpful, Cheryl or Amanda will let you sample the scent of a few essential oils to make sure they are appealing and then formulate a special blend just for you on the spot.
