There are many good reasons why Lavender Essential Oil is the best selling oil
on the market today. Perhaps the most gentle and safe essential oil, Lavender's
fresh, delightful herbaceous scent pleases the men and ladies alike.
Cheryl's Herbs Soap/Shampoos are used in just about every way a liquid cleaner
is useful. Our unique soap/shampoos are commonly found at sinks as hand soaps
and for washing wool or delicate clothing, in the shower for the whole body and
they make absolutely fabulous shampoos. Our customers rave about their use as
shampoos. When traveling or camping these biodegradable cleaners make packing
very simple as you can use one of them for all your washing needs including
dishes and laundry. We offer Summer Soap/Shampoo, chock full of known insect

sleeping bags before camping but Lavender is a good insect and moth repellent
too. From time to time a customer will visit our showroom wearing a nice sweater
and inform us that it was handwashed in our Lavender Soap/Shampoo! Natural items
are what we like to call gifts of caring and you couldn't go wrong with Cheryl's
Herbs Lavender Soap/Shampoo!
Manufactured by Cheryl's Herbs with our usual tender loving care, our most
simple, biodegradable soap base is very unique containing only Purified Water,
Decyl Polyglucose, Vegetable Glycerin, Apple Cider Vinegar and Xanthan Gum. The
state of the art soap agent, Decyl Polyglucose, is manufactured from plentiful,
renewable vegetation and is earth friendly. It is derived from corn and coconut
& palm kernel oils. It can also be described as being made from corn,
glucose & starch. Corn supplies the carbohydrates which are converted with
fatty alcohols from native oils, such as coconut or palm kernel oil, into alkyl
polyglycosides. You won't find a simpler, more natural shampoo base in any
health food store across America! For each individual soap/shampoo product we
add intensively prepared tea formulas and our famous world-class, quality
essential oils to this wonderful base.
Because of the extreme gentleness and non-toxicity of Lavender flowers and
essential oil, this soap/shampoo is excellent for babies and perfect for those
who are extra-sensitive. Our modern culture seems to be producing an increasing
amount of individuals extremely sensitive to the common chemicals, dirt,
pollution and allergens with which most of us seem to be able to coexist without
huge immediate problems. If you know individuals like this or are one yourself
you understand the difficulty of finding bodycare products that don't cause skin
rashes or breathing discomforts.
In the 14th century Lavender water was the remedy for ladies who
swooned a lot. There is thought that the current prevalence of headaches has
replaced or maybe was the same as "swooning" in past centuries.
Historically Lavender was used to scent linens and keep insects away. It
actually is a pretty good insect repellent especially for fleas, mosquitoes and
moths. Lavender has been a favorite plant grown in monastery gardens for
centuries and has been both medicine and perfume since ancient times. Greeks,
Romans, Persians burned lavender in rooms during epidemics. Its name is derived
from the Latin "lavare" which means, "to wash" Ancient
Romans bathed in Lavender and used it to cleanse wounds.
Lavender Essential Oil has been extensively studied with
modern research confirming a great many of the famous and historical uses that
